The Junior Service League of St. Augustine continues its long, rich history of helping the St. Augustine community by participating in community projects which can be completed in a day’s time.

These projects, dubbed "Done in a Day", include such activities as beach clean up, participating in a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser, supporting the Humane Society, working on houses for Habitat for Humanity, supporting the homeless coalition and taking care of yard work for individuals in need of help.

For one very memorable project, the ladies of the JSL spruced up the yard of a member of the community who was paralyzed a few years ago and can no longer take care of her lawn. The ladies responsible for this project wanted to give her something to smile about when she looked out of her window. A very grateful daughter stated, my mom was in tears when all was done, literally! As a family we can only do so much in time and money. Mom has basically no income so that was a huge help to all of us.
